Wrestlemania 21 April 2005
I was fortunate enough to be able to attend many events during the Wrestlemania 21 weekend. Starting with an autograph signing with Chris Jericho, and then a look through the Road To Wrestlemania tour, the Hall of Fame Ceremony, Wrestlemania, and ending with Raw the following night.
Pictures don't really capture the rush of attending these events live, it's the many memories of different events that mean the most. Chris Jericho was a true gentleman, and it was a pleasure to shake his hand after being a fan for five years.
The Hall of Fame ceremony was fun because my first memories of wrestling were Piper and Hogan going at it with Okerlund in between them, so seeing all 3 men on the same stage was a treat. Watching the superstars of today in this setting was also fun.
Wrestlemania itself was far more exciting than either I can explain, or thought it would be. Also, being there live when Batista won the Championship was a real thrill. The culmination of three years of being a fan, and the beginning of so much more.
Going back for Raw, and witnessing the emotional response from both the new Champion, and the crowd was thrilling.
