I know that there are a lot of pictures of Batista but I thought it was worth it! I was looking forward to seeing him in Wellington, New Zealand in March 2006, especially when one of the main tv networks here had something on about him and Shane McMahon being here to promote that show (the 4 March 2006 show was the first time the WWE had ever had a show in New Zealand) in December 2005 and it ended with Batista saying "Wellington, March 4th. I'll be there. You be there." He wasn't there because he was injured, which sucked.

Anyway, 23 February 2007 rolled around and I was front row ringside at the Christchurch show. The Batista/ Mr Kennedy match was the main event and the crowd (I read that there was about 9,000 or so there - it looked pretty full from what I could see) literally blew the roof off the arena when Batista's music hit! The match was a pretty good one and Batista won it, which was the main thing, heh. After the match, he posed in all four corners of the ring before The Undertaker's music hit. When that had finished, he went up the ramp before turning around and running back into the ring. After that, he went around where the front row fans were. I was literally hanging my upper body over the barrier with my right hand out and I managed to touch Batista on his right bicep! All I can really say about him is that tv does not do him justice (I believed - and still do! - that he is bigger off screen than on screen) and that he is definitely popular in New Zealand.

I guess I could start off by saying WOW!!! The whole show was fantastic but the man of the hour is definitely Batista. He was simple amazing. Then he got in the ring and did the "four corners poses thing". I still can't believe it. When he posed for our section,I SWEAR TO YOU ON ANYTHING THAT HE MADE EYE CONTACT WITH ME. Those beautiful brown eyes met mine and I almost fainted. HE DID SEE MY SIGN!

After the match, Batista did the four corners pose thing and was simply amazing towards the fans. After, he left the ring, this security person was going to escort him out of the arena. I read his lips and he said to the security person that he was going to make his rounds. Sure enough, he went around the whole ring high-fiving the fans. When he was through, he came back to our section and was high-fiving the fans and gave this lady a hug...LOL..I would have loved to have been that woman. I didn't think that she was going to let him go. I was trying to get closer and closer to him, but it was nearly impossible to get where I wanted because there so many people trying to do the same thing. The good news is that I couldn't have been any more than 6 feet from him, which is pretty good.
